Frontier Agents: Case Studies from Brazil, India, Mexico, and Tanzania

These slide decks are supplement to the CGAP Blog, "Proximity Matters: Improving the Viability of Frontier Agents" (June 2018).

The slide decks highlight innovative approaches by public and private sector actors in tackling the challenges faced by agents and their providers working in frontier – hard to serve-areas. Drawing on CGAP experiments and research, these decks go into more detail to explain how these approaches work in Brazil (public policy intervention), India (Oxigen), Mexico (Oxxo) and Tanzania (Off-Grid Electric and Selcom).
