Microfinance Associations Strategies for Sustainability
Creating sustainable microfinance networks
This presentation discusses the role of microfinance networks and associations. It outlines success strategies in various functions of a network. The presentation was made at the 3rd African Microfinance Conference titled New Options for Rural and Urban Africa held in Uganda in August 2007. The presentation identifies possible roles for microfinance associations (MFAs) at different stages of microfinance market development. It suggests strategies for success and effectiveness of MFAs in:

- Operations;
- Human Resources;
- Financial viability;
- Service delivery;
- External relations.
