This paper provides an overview of the seven sector strategies endorsed by the Inter-American Development Bank in its mission to find sustainable solutions to the problem of poverty in Latin America and the Caribbean regions.The paper lists the seven strategies as follows:
- Sustainable economic growth,
- Poverty reduction and promotion of social equity,
- Competitiveness,
- Social development,
- Regional integration,
- Modernization of the State,
- Focus on environment.
The paper discusses:
- The need to renew the strategic framework;
- The method by which the strategies were developed;
