Toward Sustainable & Equitable Development - Sector Strategies for Latin America and the Caribbean: An Overview

This paper provides an overview of the seven sector strategies endorsed by the Inter-American Development Bank in its mission to find sustainable solutions to the problem of poverty in Latin America and the Caribbean regions.The paper lists the seven strategies as follows:

• Sustainable economic growth,
• Poverty reduction and promotion of social equity,
• Competitiveness,
• Social development,
• Regional integration,
• Modernization of the State,
• Focus on environment.
