2 pages
These guidelines are formulated in accordance with laws and regulations such as Law of the People's Republic of China on the People's Bank of China, the Commercial Banking Law, and General Rules on Lending. They aim to support rural and agricultural development, promote credit service quality of rural credit cooperatives (RCCs), improve access to financing, and streamline lending procedures.
The guidelines specify that a rural household refers to farmer and self-employed households who live in rural areas and are engaged in landfarming and other related businesses in the agricultural sector. They specify, among other things:
- Criteria that a farmer household should meet to apply for micro-credit;
- Activities for which micro-credit can be provided;
- Items that should be included in the detailed household record files that RCCs should have;
- Procedures that will be included in the household credit assessment process.
