Join the Celebration of the IFC-MasterCard Foundation Partnership for Financial Inclusion
The Partnership for Financial Inclusion, just concluded, was a $37.4 million joint initiative of IFC and the Mastercard Foundation to expand microfinance and advance digital financial services (DFS) in Sub-Saharan Africa. It worked with a range of financial services providers across the continent to design and develop innovative business models, such as mobile money and agent banking. This helped to build a market for affordable, accessible and sustainable financial services to the previously unbanked: low-income people, small-scale entrepreneurs and rural populations.
From conception to implementation to monitoring and evaluation, the Partnership for Financial Inclusion can serve as a model for development professionals seeking effective program impact.
Please join this learning session with the respective Program Mangers from IFC and Mastercard Foundation, followed by a cocktail hour hosted by Reeta Roy, President of the Mastercard Foundation and Karin Finkelston, VP of IFC.
The Event will take place on 28 January 2019 at 3:30 – 5:00 pm | L-101, International Finance Corporation HQ, Washington DC.
