Abby Augusta

Abby Augusta manages the English FinDev Gateway blog and topic pages, and develops and coordinates FinDev webinars. She joined CGAP in 2007 and has worked on FinDev Gateway in different capacities for over 10 years.

Before re-joining the FinDev Gateway team in 2015, she was Head of Client Management for Pro Mujer Nicaragua, where she established their customer service area and recourse mechanisms, overseeing a team of 18 representatives around the country. She also worked as a financial literacy trainer for Latin American immigrant and other at-risk populations in New York City.

Abby holds an MA in International Affairs from New School University, and a BA in Music from Dartmouth College, and is fluent in Spanish and English. She lives in León, Nicaragua, where she has co-founded an alternative education elementary school in her free time.
