Responding to COVID-19 in Kenya

A demand-side view from Kenya

This report analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak in Kenya on low- and moderate-income (LMI) households as well as examines whether there have been any changes since the previous survey in April, 2020. It offers a glimpse into the challenges, concerns for the segment, and new opportunities in these trying times.

In wave two, interviews were conducted with 162 respondents from LMI households across Kenya to assess their perspective of the COVID-19 situation and their response to it. The findings were synthesized to provide recommendations and opportunity areas for policymakers to strengthen their efforts further.
