Audit Discussion

The CGAP MFI Audit Information Centre is a tool for MFIS, donors, and auditors. It is designed to provide each with better information on how to contract, conduct and use MFI audits.

The website has been designed with three types of links:

Glossary links, which will be underlined. These links will load the glossary page and take the user to the link within the page. An example is financial statements.
Hypertext links that will take you outside the Audit Information Centre. These links are denoted with an icon () and blue text. Such as: APC ()
Finally, many papers and manuals have been written on certain aspects of MFI auditing. These longer documents are generally denoted with a book icon (). Clicking on the book icon will take you to a screen where you can decide if you really want to download the document (due to its size) or perhaps you have the reference material already in your library. An example would be:Disclosure Guide ()

The Help Desk is loaded with specific and practical MFI audit questions and answers. New questions and answers will be added frequently. These will come from the questions posed of the experts in the discussion section.

The Discussion section will offer an opportunity for:

free discussion on relevant issues
a topical discussion with a new topic every other month
an opportunity to ask specific questions to our audit experts

Then there is the Documents section. This has links to over 30 directly relevant documents. Constantly growing. All available for download.

The Links section gets you to over 20 other relevant sites. The entries are annotated so you can easily find what you need. The number will be growing. Let us know if you find any great new sites.

Finally, the News section will present you the latest initiatives and development in the field of MFI audit.

All these sections are designed to assist in improving the quality of MFI audits. Through the generation and dissemination of practical information, this is possible.
