A list of 227 formal financial institutions

This document presents a list of 227 formal financial institutions (FFIs) developed by CGAP through contacts with people from the WBG, banks, credit unions, technical assistance providers, and donors.

These institutions represent a continuum, ranging from those with established microfinance services to those with a potential to enter the market. These banks are classified by:
